Important disclaimers and professional boundaries.
Work Peacefully is an educational resource. It can help you reflect, practice, and prepare questions. It cannot evaluate your individual health, mental health, safety, workplace situation, or legal rights.
Educational information
This site is not professional advice.
Nothing on Work Peacefully is medical advice, mental-health advice, diagnosis, treatment, psychotherapy, crisis counseling, legal advice, or a recommendation about what any individual should do.
General information cannot account for your history, symptoms, medications, workplace rules, jurisdiction, evidence, deadlines, or other facts. Consult appropriately qualified professionals for advice about your circumstances.
Visiting this site, using a practice or audit, downloading a resource, buying the book, or following a link does not create an attorney-client, therapist-client, clinician-patient, fiduciary, or other professional relationship with Shaun Southworth, Southworth PC, Work Peacefully, or any contributor.
This site is not a confidential legal-intake channel. Do not send case facts, medical records, attorney communications, or other sensitive information through ordinary email or an external service merely because it is linked here. An attorney-client relationship exists only after the responsible law firm agrees to it through its established process.

Mindfulness and mental health
A practice is not a treatment plan.
- Do not use mindfulness, meditation, breathing, journaling, or another site practice to replace or postpone medical or mental-health care.
- These practices may not fit every person or moment. Stop if a practice increases panic, dissociation, numbness, physical discomfort, or distress, and seek appropriate support.
- No result is promised. Research on mindfulness varies by practice, program, population, outcome, and study quality.
- The therapist-finding guide is a starting point, not a referral or endorsement. Verify credentials, licensure, availability, insurance, privacy, and fit directly.
Work Peacefully is not monitored as a crisis service. In a life-threatening emergency in the United States, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For suicidal crisis or emotional distress, call or text 988 or use the official 988 chat. Elsewhere, contact the appropriate local emergency or crisis service.
A steady mind cannot create a legal right, preserve a deadline, make evidence admissible, or determine the safest strategy.
Laws, procedures, agency rules, collective-bargaining agreements, and filing periods vary and can change. Some deadlines are short. Do not delay seeking individual legal guidance while waiting to feel calm, complete a practice, finish a chronology, receive a workplace response, or begin therapy.
Examples, checklists, and communication prompts are general. They do not predict an outcome or establish discrimination, retaliation, causation, liability, credibility, or entitlement to relief.

Attorney advertising and jurisdictions
The legal-service links carry additional boundaries.
This website may be considered attorney advertising in some jurisdictions. It does not promise representation, availability, or a particular result.
The lawyer responsible for legal-service communications on this site is Shaun Southworth, Southworth PC, 1100 Peachtree Street NE, Suite 200, Atlanta, Georgia 30309. Shaun is admitted in Georgia and Missouri. Southworth PC represents federal employees nationwide through lawyers admitted or otherwise authorized to practice in the relevant forum. Nothing here implies that Shaun or every firm lawyer is admitted in every state. The responsible lawyer and available authority depend on the matter, forum, applicable law, agency or court rules, and any required association or admission.
The choice of a lawyer is an important decision and should not be based solely upon advertisements.
Past results, experience descriptions, audience figures, press coverage, and other public information do not guarantee a future result. Every legal matter depends on its own facts, law, evidence, forum, decision-maker, and circumstances.
The mindfulness audit
A reflection tool—not a validated assessment.
Shaun's Mindfulness Audit is an educational self-reflection exercise. It is not a clinical instrument, mental-health screening, diagnosis, competency rating, or evaluation of workplace rights.
The audit form calculates its guidance in your browser. Its answers are not submitted by the form, saved by Work Peacefully, or connected to an identity. Closing or refreshing the page clears them. This statement concerns the audit answers only.

Accuracy and changes
Verify time-sensitive information at the source.
Work Peacefully aims to use reliable sources and honest limitations, but it does not warrant that every page is complete, error-free, or current for every jurisdiction or circumstance. Crisis services, laws, insurance coverage, EAP rules, telehealth authority, app features, and external pages can change. Review the date shown, follow the primary source, and obtain current professional guidance when the stakes are significant.
